Ravage came to me with intel regarding the rest of the Baddocks' whereabouts. Ensured credibility via legilimency - apparently one of the Baddock children wrote to a friend back in New London, saying they were "no longer in England" and had sailed from Penzance.

My evening schedule is full, but once I've taken my last meeting, I plan to Apparate to Penzance to inspect the status of the wards there for myself. I will only be gone for a short while. Tell absolute no one of my absence - not even Rowle. I will decide when and if he will get to share in the news, should it turn out to be auspicious.

If the wards are indeed passable, you should prepare yourselves to evacuate New London in short order.

Alice, I'm sure you will reject the idea out of hand. You've got much mileage out of Hydra's gifts, and it's plain that Ginny doesn't shoulder a role equal to Hydra's. To be frank: Ginny is more expendable to you than Hydra. Come to think of it, so was your own son.

Weasleys, you are left in the undesirable position of either convincing your leader to hand Hydra over, or finding a way to live with the knowledge that you left Ginny helpless, and in my hands.

Unfortunate news. Our liaison to the goblins has confirmed that the Treasury is no longer in our hands. Every single knut belonging to the Protectorate was housed in a single vault kept in the lord protector's name. Harry Marvolo was the heir to that vault, and Harry left all his worldly belongings to Draco Malfoy.

There are back-up assets in place. Be assured, and assure everyone else, that you will still get paid.

Do not bring any more attention to this matter than necessary. Stick to the message: the Order and their supporters will eliminate magic for everyone who doesn't subscribe to their extremist view. I want one of the Ministry staff on the WWN later today describing what the null-zone feels like. Two or three members of staff, even better.

Thank you for your hard work, perseverance, and fortitude over these last days. It is noted and it is appreciated.

There will be much more work to come.

The lord protector had a inspired vision of a realm where purity was respected and encouraged; where the vast limits of magic were freely explored rather than condemned; where wizards and witches did not have to live amongst the inferiour, or hide in the shadows. That vision was and is still something to behold. But the execution of that vision was flawed.

The lord protector had power that none of us have ever known, but that power did not last. Look at the evidence around you - all gone to dust. It was the power of false promises, of one who dared to divide the most pure and loyal of his servants. As intoxicating as power is, power cannot last. Power will always turn to dust.

The only thing that lasts is blood, and we cannot remain divided if we are to wrest this land back from the filthy-fingered thieves who would make it their own.

This is no longer the lord protector's realm, but it won't be theirs, either.

Your deliberate lack of response to my messages doesn't fool me. I know that you're walled up at L'Estrange with your young protégé, who gifts you with the projection of awe and wonder that you men of a certain age can't seem to thrive without.
